So somehow my bishop came across my blog the other day. That was a real treat since my last post had a song with profanity in it. If I wasn't moving soon, I think he would release me from my calling since I am clearly a bad influence on children.haha.
Anyways, I was just listening to some of my brothers songs, and thought I'd post a link to his facebook page and have more appropriate music for the world to relate me to. kind of lame? maybe. Even though he is my brother and I am a little bit bias, I will honestly tell you he has some good songs. So if you want a good new tune, scroll down to 'cake'. if you want a good laugh, go to 'Be My Britney'. great lyrics.

i am obviously not smart enough to figure out how to have this as a link...oh well. i know how to copy and paste stuff...that's good enough.

Juile's Quick Tip
Have you ever been driving and you are SOO tired that it is dangerous for you to be on the road? ya I've done that. probably should have pulled over, but sometimes when you're on your way to work, or just want to get where you're going you have no choice but to keep going. SO when all the usual tricks of turning up the music, rolling down the window or calling people just to talk has failed, i would suggest learning a rap. hahah. hilarious when I say that. But i"m not kidding.
A couple weeks ago I was driving to work and literally kept zonking out. totally scarey. but i couldn't just pull over. Luckily I had spence's ipod that day and I remembered he got the new swollen members cd so I quickly found it, and put on Lonely One. worked like a charm. windows were down (for the cold air) and I was blasting swollen members and knew every word. soo cool.
for those interested in learning the first verse so we can rap together, here's the song. but don't listen too far..there is some bad language later on. but i change the song by that point....
anyways, it's in the post below this. i don't know how to put it right in this post.

awkwad moment

I'm not a huge fan of awkward moments. Sometimes they're funny, and I can usually take it if someone I know is with me. But one of my most dreaded awkward moments is the elevator. I dislike everything about them. The only good thing is that they get me to where I need to be faster. Other than that, they are just there to put people through uncomfortable situations.
I pretty much take the elevator quite frequently because I work at a school. All my classes are in a tower, and I have come to pretty much hate it. I don't like the fact that I am squished in such a small area touching all these strangers I don't know. I'm afraid to cough, or clear my throat because most of the time it is pretty quiet in there, except for those times when people forget we are in a small space and like to have everyone hear their conversation. or hear their loud music. so annoying.
I also dislike the fact that I feel I'm being judged when I hit the button. I mean, if you're hitting the 7th floor, that's warranted. People think 'great choice in picking the elevator.' because there's no question you're taking the stairs. But when I'm hitting the 3rd floor, I know someone is thinking, 'can't that girl even walk up a few flights of stairs?' And maybe I feel I'm being judged because I judge people. When someone hits 2, I'm like, one floor? really? A, now I think you are really lazy, and B, you just wasted all of our time as we wait for the doors to open and close to let you off. but one of my the most awkward moments for me is not while I"m in the elevator, but when I'm waiting for one. The elevators here are always jammed pakced with people. And if you get on it from certain floors, there's usually no room for you. So you press the button, wait for the up arrow to light up, and then you move towards that elevator to hopefully get on. but then it's full to the brim, and you just have to sit there and wait for the doors to close. it's inevitable that you make eye contact with the first row of people (because where else do they have to look but straight forward) and I know they're pitying me as they wait for the doors to close because who knows when the next available one is going to come. And waiting for those doors to close seems to take FOREVER. I try to look away, or shrug and give a little smile to make it seem like i didn't even want to go on that one anyway.
so lately i've resorted to taking the stairs. i even took it to the 7th floor the other day. ya, i had to take a break at about the 5th, but at least I avoided the elevator.

Doctor's Office

So I head to the dr's offiice today, and I go to sit in the waiting room. As most normal people do, I spot three empty chairs in a row and take a seat in the middle. Shortly after, this lady comes in with her sick smelling coffee and her wrinkly tim hortons bag that is making so much noise, and she just sits right down beside me. So I look up from my magazine thinking that the place must have gotten busier since I arrived, and I look around to find at least two other spots this lady could have gone where she would be sitting by no one. yet for some reason she chose to sit by me, which I can't seem to understand because i don't give off that 'welcome' vibe. So anyways, I debated actually moving over a seat so we would have one in between us, but just 30 seconds later comes in this other lady, and of course she chooses to take the other seat next to me. go figure. The worst part about it is that at least on a bus if that person is bugging you, you can pretend your stop is soon and just stand. but at a dr's office the wait is ridiculous and you end up sitting beside this person for a good 20 min.
I thought it was customary that in any public place where you are not forced to sit by a stranger, you don't. You search for a ''buffer chair''. That way you can cross your legs without bumping, people can cough without getting germs on you, and just because it's weird to choose to sit by strangers, especially in doctors offices. You never know what people could be coming in there for, and it's best just to keep your distance.
So I guess Im just saying that if you ever see me at a doctor's office, or if you see me on the bus, please, don't take the seat beside me.

My Ugly People Sterotype

So just a quick realization that I have had lately. And after meeting someone recently, it has confirmed what I have always believed to be false. I will explain, but I'll warn you ahead time, you could find it offensive, don't know who's reading this..so at least I warned you!
I don't know about you, but I have kind of always had this sterotype that non-attractive people are super nice. Even some that are a little bit nerdier or shy, but espeically the non-attractive people i have always just assumed they are just all really nice people. I don't know if this came about because I had met a few that were really nice, or maybe it's because I watched a movie or tv show once that portrayed the geeky shy guy as being super nice ect. maybe i should jsut blame myself for being extremely narrow minded, who knows.
but lately this ''type'' (the word ugly is so blunt, just like fat, so I usually try not to say it) has surprised me with how harsh they can be, well at least some of them. I can't believe some of the mean things that they have said. And at first I would think it was just a mistake or a one time thing, but it's not! So I guess I was wrong with my sterotype. So just a little warning to anyone who has thought the same thing: Ugly people are not always nice. and that's my lesson for today. take it or leave it.

HALLOWEEN!
So It was halloween a couple of weeks ago and i haven't had time to put some pictures on fbook or even on here. so here are just a couple. me and Spence were from the show Dexter. If you dont watch it, no worries. Dexter is a serial killer, but he only kills other people who are bad cuz they kill innocent people. And he always kills them wrapped in plastic, so i have saran wrap on, and a knife in me and a cut on my cheek. He also always wears the same thing when he kills, and that`s pretty close to it.
Anyways, we went to Doug`s house for halloween and just had some games, food and a movie. below was Dave`s costume which I thought was hilarious. He was Micheal Phelps! he had a medal around him, a towel, and as you can see a small swimsuit. (that wasn`t my favorite part! but funny)

And these were the treats I made for it. They are made with cake inside them and then melted chocolate. They`re called cake-pops. Taren had made some before, so I decided I would try some. They were a little bit of work, and not totally perfect, but that`s okay I sitll had fun. They come off the Bakerella website. Forget what it is right now, but just google it She has some fun ideas.
